Month: May 2013

  • Reflections On May 2013

It's been a long month of May. And, the end has finally come.
I thank God he was with us on the journey.  It was a long one.

It snowed and we had all sort of unique kind a weather.
It was a mixture of Spring, Winter Fall and Summer all blended in together.
It's the first that I can recall.

Yes we have had a lot of rain. That was good. The land was welled watered.
The garden has been planted. Now, the harvest in coming.

I see come changing in doing some things. I'm looking more into my family tree.
I hope to find more clues and connections this summer.

I'm taking some more interest in my research.
I'm slacking away for things that I use to do.
I see the good in doing this.

I'm doing things that I truly enjoy.
The things that bring good to my soul. I like that.
I long to know more about my family tree.

    Summer is hear so what.
And I plan to explore and discover things this Summer.
I can say that I'm a Summer Explorer.

May we rejoice in the things that bring us joy.
May we see the good of what we do.
May the Lord keep us on the journey to where He is leading us.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

May we all have a Wonderful month Of June.
    Summer Time!

    Scripture
Since God assured us, "I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you."
We can boldly quote, "God is there, ready to help; I'm fearless not matter what.
Who or what can get to me?"

    Hebrews 13: 5-6 MSG

  • All God's Creation Is Good

I've been looking at the land. It's earthy looking. It smell too. The trees and so forth have there leaves. The wonder of the greenery of the grass and trees. Yes. God's creation is beautiful.

I'm in the habit in looking at the fields and God's creation. The crops are growing. The birds are still singing. The weather is weathering. It's been raining about at least every week at least one time a week.

I'm thankful for the rain. Indeed the land is being watered. I've been seeing gardens growing. I hope to continue to rain at least once a week.

I try to look at the sky every time I go out the door or look at the window. The wonder of nature can be a joy in seeing. It amazes me at times.

I enjoy looking at the clouds after a stormy day. The clouds can have a picture in them. Or we can be creative in what we see. I think so.

I don't get to sky watch that much. But when I do, it's fun to do. I can recall a lot of things that I've seen. Some were live photo in the sky. Better yet, a move picture on display just for me to see.

But really, I think that God places things on the earth or sky for us to explore and discover. Only if we will go for it and look and see. There are a lot of goodness in God's creation.

May we believe that all of God's creation is good.
May we learn to enjoy what nature displays for us to see.
May we be amazed by what God sets before us as wonder.

    Thanks for reading.

    Scripture

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

    John 1:1-4 KIV

  • Turning Another Page After Page After Page

I'm on the road of life and "Turning Another Page" as the days come to be. I know that times we have to turn pages in order to continue on the journey. It's called changes on the journey.

There are things in life when we have to turn away or turn to things in life. I know in any case, we can have a hard decision to make when we do things. Especially the things that we love doing.

We have to face things in our lives. It's a must. We all have to make those choices when they come. We all have to keep turning another page after page after page.

I thank God for process in life. I don't want to be stuck in the same place. In the same place for too many years can be a drain on the soul.

Each time we come to a point of letting go, I have to turn another page into another chapter. Each page adds to the chapters in our lives. It's like we're writing our lives into a book.

Our lives are on display for other to see. I pray that we all display the image of God. We were created in God's image. We are God's masterpiece on display for God's glory.

May we see ourselves anew when we are at a crossroad in life.
May we continue to keep turning pages in our lives.
May we see our lives as a witness for God's purpose.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

  • 50 Days Since Turned Fifty

It's my 50th Day of being in my fifties. I've been counting my days. It's be an interesting journey. I'm not tried of counting. I don't know when I'll stop counting.

I've been noticing some things along my journey. There has been changes in how I'm thinking. There are some things that don't matter to me any more.

I'm seeing the good of things. I'm not concern about matters that I have no interest in. I seem to have loose the touch in some things that use to matter.

I guess when I've turned fifty, I'm seeing what really matters to me. I'm cutting back on some things. Or I'm getting tried of some things. Just maybe.

May the journey we trail be with the Lord.
May we continue on the way that the Lord is leading us.
May we keep on keeping on when the tough get going.
May we have enough sense to stop doing things that we need to.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

  • The Glory Of The Eternal Trinity

Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of your divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory, O Father; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

  • 6 Years Since The Move

I can't believe it's been about six years since I moved. Oh, how time flies. I'm settled in. Things have changed over the years.

I can't recall how many new neighbors that have come and gone. One neighbor passed away last week. There are houses that have been torn down. There are many trees that had to be cut down.

Things have changed. I have too. I'm moving with the changes that have come. And for those that will come along the journey.

I see some changes in my blogging as well. I'm doing a tee bit different starting on Sunday. I don't know where I'll end up. But, I will continue to journal.

Over the years I have called May 26th; "Moving On Day." Every year, I see that I have to move on from some things. Perhaps it's a habit I have. Maybe, there are people who I need to move away from...don't follow the crowd. Or whatever it may be.

Each year is different. As I'm growing in the Lord, I have been changing. I'm changing in how I think. I'm changing in how I relate or interact with people.

I'm on the journey of transformation. I see I have broken away from some things this year. I think that there are more to come. May the Lord guide me into what to do.

May we grow with the changes in our lives.
May we see growth and change in the process.
May we continue on the journey.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

  • Summer Break

It's the weekend! And a special one that that. It's the first weekend that the students and teacher are out of school. Yep! It's un official, but Summer Time is here.

I've been out of school long time ago. But, I see the good in Summer Time Breaks. I need a Summer Time break for things and matters. I've been thinking what to do.

First of all I should enjoy my Summer Break. I'm plan to do some things in a new way.  I can get use to it. It just takes times in the doing. I think that I can do it.

I'll see how I'm doing as the days of Summer comes about. I began my Summer Break on Wednesday. I have had ideas come to me. What I'll do and what I won't do.

The main thing that I plan to do this Summer is to enjoy. Enjoy the things that I want to do. I don't want to be troubled in doing things that will drain me.

Summer time heat can slow me down. I'm not much of an outside person. I'm outside as long I can be. But when it's not a necessary to be outside. I want to enjoy the season the best why I know how.

May we all Have A Great Weekend.
May we all Enjoy Summer Time.
    Amen!

    Thanks for reading.

  • Stormy Weather

We had a big storm come on Pentecost Sunday. Yes, there was a mighty rushing wind. There were many without lights. It looked scary.

I don't why I didn't go to the basement. I was trying to get the news on what was going on. I was watching TV. But there wasn't any updates to what was going on.

In time I heard that we were under a tornado watch or was it  a warning. I can't recall. The cable with out for a little while. I wasn't afraid of what was going on.

As the snow went through, I heard reports of trees down. There were power lines down. Not much damage in the block. It was a strong storm. Thank God that no one was hurt.

On the day after the storm, I notice that my computer works. By the landline can't. It was like someone was talking but no one was on the line. I couldn't connect with the phone company. I had to wait.

At least I have a cell phone. And the internet to use.  It took a while to get in touch with the phone company. In the mean while I use the internet. My free .

It's been a bit cooler since the storm came. I think that the tornadoes in the South could have cooled us down. I shouldn't be complaining. Just enjoying the weather.

May the Lord keep us safe in all seasons.
May we be careful and be aware of the weather.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

    Scripture
You've always been great toward me-
    what love!
You snatched me from the brink of disaster?..
You, O God, are both tender and kind,
    not easily angered,
immense in love, and you never,
    never quit.

    Psalm 86:13,15 MSG

  • Summer Time Planning

I'm already been in the Summer time mode. I've been thinking about what to do. What are my plans? Traveling is out of the question.

I'm not must of a traveler now days. I'll stick close to home. I normally do. I can explore and discover where I am planted. Besides it cost more to travel afar.

I think, I'll go on a journey. A journey that would cost too much. But I will cost me something. I'm letting my mind take a vacation for the Summer.

I'm thinking about how to do that. I'm letting some things be... by not putting to much of worry into them. I'll invest the Summer into the things I truly enjoy doing.

Maybe, I'll take a vacation from people who I somewhat have conversations with.. I don't know. I believe that a conversation takes two to communicate. One way conversations get dull and dry. It's like that's no interest in speaking.

Yes, I've been thinking about what can I do for the Summer? Well, I plan to do a lot more on my family history projects. I'm been in the mode last week. I have many ideas that have come to me. I just have to have the time to do them.

I plan to invest quality time with God. I want to improve on my relationship with Him. Even though I do what "church people" should do; go to church every Sunday, pray daily and fellowship with the people of God. But I want more than that.

I want a closer walk with God, The Lord, and The Holy Spirit as I'm moving forward in years. I've been aware of my thinking over the Easter Season. I need more of a commitment in doing things.

This Summer, I want to focus more on what God wants for me. Not what others want from me or what they want me to do. I know that there are times when I need to say "No" to people. And there are times when I should do some things that I really don't want to do out of the love of God.

My hope for this Summer 2013, is that I will have a much deeper relationship with Jesus, the Lord and Savior of my life. I want a closer relationship with God, the Father. And a clearer knowing that the Holy Spirit is there to guide and comfort me along the journey.

I hope grow more in what the Spirit is leading me to become. I want to become what God has created me to become. I believe that I'm becoming more and more like Jesus as I'm growing in Him day by day. Thank You, Jesus!

May we invest our lives in becoming what God has created us to become.
May we take time and work out our salvation.
May the Lord guide us with the Holy Spirit to have a closer relationship with God.
    Amen.

    Summer Time Springing up.
I'm looking forward for the plans.
I know that things can change along the way.
But, at least this is a start.

    Thanks for reading.
Hope you have some Summer Time Planning.

    Stay Cool!
