  • WeekDays In 2009

What do I like about the weekdays? When ever possible, I would make my way to the Upper Room. I like going to the Upper Room. But each weekday had a different touch to them.

The hardest weekdays for me are Mondays and Thursdays. I don't know what it is. I tried to lighten up on things. I have made it through those days.

I am happy that I have to opportunity to go to church early on Fridays. It ends the cycle of what I do during the weekdays. By going to the Upper Room in the morning. I have a place to get away before going to work.

Yeah! The weekdays.... May we have things plan to do on our days. May we learn to enjoy what day we are in. May we make the best of our weekdays. Amen.

I did the best that I could with what I had.
    Each day had it's own.

  • Sundays In 2009

It's the LORD's Day. It's the first day of the week. A time to celebrate the victory that Jesus rose from the died on Sunday.

It's the last opportunity for us to join together as the body of Christ on this last Sunday of 2009. Sundays have become more of a traditional Sunday over this year. At least that what I have come to see. There are some new things added along time.

We hear the spoke word of God during praise and worship. We stand in reverence of  hearing someone read a chapter from the New Testament each Sunday. I had to get use to that. We are on a 5 year journey to hear someone read the New Testament out loud.

The Sunday services seems shorter. There's a difference atmosphere. I have to  grow and get use the changes. Between the two services, I like the 2nd service the most.

I made it to all the Sunday gatherings. I missed three of the first services. I try to make it to both services. There has been a little twist for me on Sundays.

At times we go over time. Each service has something about them. It's good to be in church gatherings to start off the week.

After church I do what I do. Then I try to relax and rest. I get up early on Sundays.  Yeah, Sundays. Time of traditional church. It's not like Fridays. There's nothing like Friday night church.

  • Saturdays In 2009

Yesterday felt like Saturday. Yeah, I get another Saturday feeling today. I have grown to like Saturdays a lot.

Saturday is my favorite day of the week. I know that Sunday is suppose to be the DAY. But there is nothing compared to what comes on Saturday.

There are a lot of things that I can do on Saturdays that I can't do any other day of the week. I mean there is something different about Saturday. Saturday has it's "thing."

The day seems longer. I have a lot more freedom. There is a different atmosphere. There's a thing that only Saturday have. I like it a lot.

  • The Upper Room And Fridays Of 2009

It's been a journey on Fridays this year. Fridays have taken on a whole new twist for met. I only missed one church gathering on Friday this year. I went to one of my nephew's wedding.

Today is Christmas Day. And there was no Friday Night Church. It's a rare thing that comes.

This is the third time that I recall, without a Friday night church. I've been coming to WOLC since September '93. The last two no Fridays were Christmas Day '98 and New Year's Day '99, I think.

Yeah, Fridays have taken on a new thing for me. I do what I do before preparing to head out for our gatherings. I like going to the Upper Room first. The Upper Room is my favorite place on WOLC's campus.

Since the hours of our Friday gathering had changed on May 1st on Friday and the hours changed in the Upper Room, I had to rearrange things. I had to get use to those changes.

I grew to like coming home from our gathering earlier on Fridays. I've learn to do some things differently during the weekdays mornings in the UR. Time seems to go quicker.

Things were not the same. This year has been a year of change. It's been a time of switching and letting go. I have changed and moved on with those changes.

I tend to rest at times on Fridays. But then I did some things along the way. I wrote poems. Or did other things to keep me busy till time to go out to the WOLC campus.

There are some things I like about going to the UR. I have two prayer partners. We meet and take communion as often as we can.

When we take communion. I would say, this is His body that was broken for us. Than another would say this is His body that was shed for us. We pray about what's on our hearts. Then we go and spend time in our quiet time.

I like going to the UR.
Fridays I grew back to love.

Hope that you had a blessed Christmas.
It's the Last Friday and Weekend of 2009!
    It feels like a Saturday.

  • With The Spirit Of Faith, Peace, Love And Joy

My 26 Day journey is now complete. It was an interesting journey. We made it to Christmas Day! Merry Christmas!!!

    From the booklet: Reclaiming Christmas

    Luke 2:11-14
"To you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.."Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace!"

"Sit quietly, in a comfortable seat. As you relax your body and mind, think of the word joy as yo inhale and exhale."

Then remain in the silence for several minutes as you allow the feelings of joy to bubble up from deep within you. sweeping through every cell of your body.

Stay as long as you lie in this state. When you are ready, slowly come back to the present reality, bringing the buoyancy of joy with you.

Capture your thoughts following the meditation

As I came through this journey to Christmas, I have become aware of some things. I see thing in a new light. The rebirth of some things that have been lost.

It's been good to recognize things. By seeing the error and repenting to God, life can begin anew. Then making the changes needed along the journey will come.

I thank God for showing me some things on this journey. There were some things that I don't know that were there. It's good to see the taking on and taking away of things.

May the peace of God guide us into what He has for us. May we have the joy that come from within. May the fait that we have be discovered day by day. May the love of God be shone in the world in which we live.

    While On The Journey
With The Spirit Of Faith, Peace, Love And Joy

Thank You, God for the spirits of faith, peace , love and joy.

Hope all had a Wonderful Christmas Day!
    It's been a beautiful day!

    Blessings,
    Susan

    Word: TODAY
Affirmation: My life today is the greatest gift I can receive, I enjoy today.

Life's Journey

PRESSING TOWARD THE GOAL... "Brethren, I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection! But I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be. No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus is calling us up to heaven ." New Living Translation Philippians 3:12-14
I see our lives as open books to those who are watching us and reading our actions, no matter if we speak in any communicational forms or not. But there are times when being quiet or keeping slience is the wise thing to do.

On My Journey Of Transformation:

I will sing to the LORD because he has been so good to me. This is going to be a GREAT DAY. This is a NEW DAY. Something GOOD is going to happen to me. NEW DOORS of oppportunity are opening. GOOD things are in store. The BEST is yet to come. Everything is going to be alright. I am counting on the LORD. Yes, I am counting on Him. I have put my hope in his word.
