  • How I Got Connect With Xanga & Why I'm Still Here?

What brought you to Xanga? What made you stay? submitted by faerieshadow

I came to Xanga on November 10th 2006. I was reading my pastor's blog. He mentioned his wife, Peri's blog here in Xanga. So I click on.

I had been wanting to open a blog but didn't know which one to choose. I build up enough courage to open an account here in Xanga. This is my very first blog site.

What made me stay here in Xanga?  I like to blog. Over the years I have gain some friends. I blogged more and opened up a lot more.

In the past year or so there have been less subscriptions to read. A lot of friends moved on into other web sites. I decided to stay in here Xanga.

I do have other blog sites. But Xanga is my very first one. I don't want to abandon this site. If all my subscriptions that end with no bloggers blogging. I want to still stay here in Xanga.

I don't want to follow that crowd. It could be said there is a lot more in other blog sites. We all have our likes and dislikes. People come and go as the please.

I decided to stay here in Xanga. Most of the members of Word Of Life on Xanga have moved on. Wonder Where Did They Go?

  • What Kind Of Blogs Do I Like?

Over the years, I have like to read blogs where people shared about their lives. It's good to know how others are doing. It keeps us in touch.

I've begun to not like very long blogs. I use to write long blogs myself. I wise up. I have learned that I can say a lot in short blogs.

    While On The Journey...
What Kind Of Blogs Do I Like?

    Not LONG Ones...
Perhaps blogging in series so blogs won't appear so long.

    Blessings to you,

  • Come Let Us Worship HIM

    Give to the Lord the glory due His name;
Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of
    holiness!  ( 1 Chronicles 16:29 *NKJV )

    Dear ( Friends),
If you haven't gone lately, why not attend the Church of
your choice today, and join with others as they worship our
    Heavenly Father!

For it is only right that we worship and
    sing to Him as well! After all it is written that we should;
Sing to the Lord , all the earth Proclaim the
good news of His salvation from day to day.
    ( 1 Chronicles 16:23 )

So, come, let us worship and bow down; Let
us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He
is our God, And we are the people of His
pasture And the sheep of His hand
    ( Psalms 95:6-7 )

Therefore: let us also; Praise God in His
sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him
according to His excellent greatness! Praise
Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him
    with the lute and harp!

    Praise Him with the
timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed
instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud
cymbals; Let everything that has breath praise
    the Lord . (Psalms 150:1-3 & 6 )

    So again I say, why not attend your Church today, and;
come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout
joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.
    Amen! ( Psalms 95:1 )

I received the above from an email.
Have A Great Day in the house of the LORD.

    While On The Journey
    Come Let Us Worship HIM

    Always!

    Blessings,
    Susan

  • Eye Issues

I had some thing going on with my eyes during the last part of September. My eyes were red. When I with outside the sunlight would be to bright for me. If any light hit my eyes it would hurt my eye.

Both eyes were not hurting at the same time. One day it was my left than the next day it was the right one. Each eye did improve over time.

I don't know how I made it through Friday. As I was riding with some friends to church. I had my sunglasses on. I had to close my right eye because of the sunlight.

As for the Friday night gathering at church, it was a miracle that I made it through the service. The lights were too bright for me. I thank God for bring me through that night.

On Saturday, my eyes appeared a little better. By the end of the day, my eyes were much better. Still red but much better. I tried to rest my eyes from the light.

On Sunday my eyes were still red. I didn't want any body to see my eyes. So I wore my sunglasses in church. Some thought to was cool. Some my have thought that I had something done with my eyes.

By Monday the redness was about gone. My eyes didn't hurt at all since Saturday. I thank God that what that was is gone.

I did go to the doctor. He said that I had a sinus infection that was leading to bronchitis.  My eyes were a little red. But they didn't hurt when I see bright lights.

I had to take some medicine for 14 days. I was doing fine. Until something happened to my eye again. It was red and painful when I saw bright lights.

I had to go back to the doctor. The doctor said it's the pink eye like I had the last time I was there. But I wasn't given medicine for it.

This time I got eye drops. My eyes cleared up. I didn't know how I got the pink eye. I didn't know it's contangos.

I have been careful. I watch how I use my eyes. I wash my hands more. I watch what I do. I'm glad that I have gotten over this pink eye. I never had it before.

About two weeks later my right eye was hurting. This thing came back. I put eye drops in that eye. I wonder how long will this continue? Yeah, when will this thing end?

May we learn to be more careful. May the LORD guide us in what we do. May we see the beauty in what God has for us. Amen.

    While On The Journey
    Eye Issues

Blessed are my eyes for they see: and for my ears for they hear.
Thank You, LORD for my sight and my hearing.

    Enjoy This Beautiful Day!

    Blessings to you,
    Susan

Life's Journey

PRESSING TOWARD THE GOAL... "Brethren, I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection! But I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be. No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus is calling us up to heaven ." New Living Translation Philippians 3:12-14
I see our lives as open books to those who are watching us and reading our actions, no matter if we speak in any communicational forms or not. But there are times when being quiet or keeping slience is the wise thing to do.

On My Journey Of Transformation:

I will sing to the LORD because he has been so good to me. This is going to be a GREAT DAY. This is a NEW DAY. Something GOOD is going to happen to me. NEW DOORS of oppportunity are opening. GOOD things are in store. The BEST is yet to come. Everything is going to be alright. I am counting on the LORD. Yes, I am counting on Him. I have put my hope in his word.
