  • Project Family History Update

I'm been on my family history quest for the Summer Time. I started last month. I'm coming across more leads to fall up on. I like that.

I've been going back over some of what I discover. I'm find more as am re reading some of what I had. I have seen some corrections that I had to make.

I had a cousin who wanted me to call her Uncle. He wanted to talk with me about the family history. I called him and he was waiting for my call. Boy was he excited when I called.

We talked for about 70 minutes. He shared with me some things that I haven't heard of. One interesting thing that he knew some of the people who I've been hearing about on our family tree.

He shared about his Grandpa Richard who was my Great Uncle. It was interesting to hear what Great Uncle Richard was like. He wouldn't talk about what he went through after slavery. Richard was born about the year after slavery had ended. .

I'm wanting to find out more about my relatives. It's interesting to know who is on the family tree. I believe that there are many others out there who has something the add to the family history.

The question is are there any relatives or people who know something about the family history would be willing to share what they know. What they heard? I hope so.

I will continue on my journey's quest. I want to discover as much as I can. I know that I would find out everything that I want to know. But I'm thankful for what things that I have becoming across.

May we continue to explore and discover.
May the grace of God lead us on.
May we see the good in keeping on in what we love doing.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.
    Susan

    P.S.

I loved sharing some of my projects here on Xanga.
I made some process on my family tree.
I will continue on my projects on my other websites.

  • Learning Not To Do Everything Asked

I can't do everything people ask of me to do. I know that for sure. Yes, common sense has to click in from time to time. I got to learn how to say "no" thank you more often.

I see a lot of opportunities this week to do some things. Yes, I could have done some. I thought about it. And I decided to not part take in them.

I'm not into some of the things that are out there. I'm not an outside person in the evening time. Nor do I enjoy to events where I feel out of place. So why set myself up?

I have been learning to do other things in replace of the event or activities. I have a choose to do what over ask of me or not. I choose what I choose.

I don't want to do things to have others do the same for me. I mean it's not a favor thing. Like you old me one. Remember I when I did so and so for you?  That's not the point in doing what others ask of you.

We should do things out of the heart of the love of God that's in us. We should be willing to reach out to our family members or whosoever is in our lives. Love strives us to do what we do.  Well at least it should.

There should be a good feeling in what we are doing. Especially when others ask of us. But there are times when I'm not feeling so good in doing some of the things that have been asked of me.

In the long run, through time and experiences, we learn to grow in the things that we know that's good for us. And for those things that are draining our being of peace. We should learn the difference.

I think that it will be a Great Summer 2013. I have may plans. I have learned to say no to many things. I plan not to be over worked by some things that don't serve the purpose in doing what's needed.

May we learn to say no to things that aren't good for us.
May the Lord grant us wisdom along the journey.
May we just enjoy the things that we do.
May we not feel guilty when we don't do what's asked of us.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.
    Susan

    P.S.
I've hear the news of Xanga situation.
I not for sure what's going on.
I don't know about downloading back from November 13, 2006 blogs.
    That's a lot.

  • Spring Time: ?

It's nearing the ending of Spring in a few weeks. But I wondered if Spring was here? There were times when I forgot what season we were in during the Spring Season.

It snowed. It was very windy. We had fog. We had frost. It's been super hot and brrr cold. We have this and that which doesn't make sense. That's weird weather in the season of time.

I shouldn't compline. The season appears behind time. It's much cooler than the normal. The land has been watered every week. The fields and gardens are going. Seed time harvest time is coming.

May we endure in seasons of change.
    May we come and enjoy.
May the Lord keep us and bring us into a new season.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

  • Yogurt

I love yogurt. It took me a while to get use to them. I can't recall when I started eating yogurt. Nor do I know how I got hooked. I just love it.

I had to experiment with the ones I think I would like. There are the basic such as peaches, strawberries, bananas and so forth. I came across vanilla. I fell in love with the taste.

Through the years, my taste buds have changes. I discovered new kinds of yogurt. There were different brands and different taste.

I had to go with what was there. From time to time what I bought was disconnected. I had to get another brand. It took me a while to get use to the taste.

Oh, about a year or so ago, I came across yogurt with caramel in it. I had to get that. It was higher than what I would get. I just love that taste of that yogurt.

Well, month I got my favorite yogurt. I looked at the date on on of my yogurt and it read April 28, 2013. That was about 3 weeks ago. I had to take that one back.

I decided not to buy that brand. I think that people don't look at the expiration dates. I sure do. I don't want to get sick. I don't think any body wants too.

I have a yogurt just about every day. I eat some with my medicine. That could be one of the reason why I started eating yogurt. I use to take my medicine with apple sauce. That grew old.

May we enjoy the food that we like.
May we explore different kind and taste of our favorites.
May we taste and see that the Lord is good.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

  • Smoothies Time

I've been making my own smoothies. I can't recall when I had the desire for smoothies. I think it started when the church I attend started having a coffee shop and bookstore.

I wanted something to drink one day. I thought to have a strawberry banana smoothie. I don't buy smoothies to often. For me, the cost is high for a regular cup.

I slacked out buying them. I brought a smoothie marker about 2005 or so. I made smoothies but not really. I slack off in making them.

Now in 2013, I have the desire to make my own smoothies. I don't know how many I have made. I love strawberry and banana.  I've been explore with other fruits.

Oh, the joy of blending my favorites fruit and veggies... It took me time to learn how to make things work. I put too much on one thing in the blender. I'm still learning.

When it's hot outside, I know what I can make. It's a thirst quencher. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying making the smoothies. Oh, they are good!

May we have a favorite thing to do when the hot is on.
May we found the thing that bring us joy in the doing.
    Amen

    Thanks for reading.

  • In The June Mode

I'm into the June mode. I can't believe that the month of June has come. Where did Spring go? It was here off and on. But, not as long as it should have.

I'm moving forward into the season at hand. I'm on a roll. I'm doing things I like doing. I've been slacking off some of the things that I do all the time. Some times I need a break for doing things.

We all should take breaks for time to time. We should enjoy life more. I know I should. It's not healthy to continue on and on doing without have some breaks.

I'm a doer. I need to have some balance more than I should. I can over do things. I need to have down time. I don't appear to have that time.

It's my doing. I just have to balance things as I go about my daily dos in life. I'm on the journey. I want to finish the race that is before me. Lord, thank You for being on the journey with me.

I'm in the June mode of doing some things that I've truly enjoy doing. Yes, I'm on my journey of family history searching. I'm doing some things out of the normal routine doings.

The Summer months will be here some. Oh how time is closing in on us. I hope that isn't as hot as it was last year. It's been cool here off and on. The rain and the storms that come and go.

I hope you're enjoying your journey.
Life is to be lived. Life it the best way that we can.
    I hope you do too.
    Amen.

May the joy of the Lord be our strength.
May we see the good of going through life with Jesus.

  • Reflections On May 2013

It's been a long month of May. And, the end has finally come.
I thank God he was with us on the journey.  It was a long one.

It snowed and we had all sort of unique kind a weather.
It was a mixture of Spring, Winter Fall and Summer all blended in together.
It's the first that I can recall.

Yes we have had a lot of rain. That was good. The land was welled watered.
The garden has been planted. Now, the harvest in coming.

I see come changing in doing some things. I'm looking more into my family tree.
I hope to find more clues and connections this summer.

I'm taking some more interest in my research.
I'm slacking away for things that I use to do.
I see the good in doing this.

I'm doing things that I truly enjoy.
The things that bring good to my soul. I like that.
I long to know more about my family tree.

    Summer is hear so what.
And I plan to explore and discover things this Summer.
I can say that I'm a Summer Explorer.

May we rejoice in the things that bring us joy.
May we see the good of what we do.
May the Lord keep us on the journey to where He is leading us.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.
