  • Project Poems: Progress

    Lenten Scripture Reading  John 12

I've been future posting my poems. I was so behind. I finally found my poem booklet. Well, the poem booklet where I left off future posting some time ago.

I looked at where I was. And where I was when I started future posting in 2012. I stopped on day Dec 12, 2011 posting for May 31, 2013. That was poem #1561. I stopped posting about  August 22, 2012.

Well, I wasn't posting my poems after I write them. I should learn to do that. Today, I'm on poem # 2054.  I have future posted over 1854 poems. I'm not including my earlier poems.

I'm glad that I started writing a poem a day. There are times, I write more than one or two. I'm in a creative mood when I write more than one poem a day.

What I noticed when I was re reading and typing my poems, I'm ministered to. I was looking at what I wrote a long time ago. And I couldn't believe that I wrote some of what I was reading.

I was wondering. Was I going through? Why did I think that? It was like I was speaking to myself. That's weird. What I write something some time ago blessed me.

I like to journal. I record things as I go about life. I see when I record things, I can capture apart of my journey in life. I can re read what I wrote. That's good to recall what I was thinking about.

May we learn to look back over some of our journals in life.
May we recall the goodness of God.
May we learn as we journey in life.
    Amen

    Thanks for reading.

  • The Weekend And What's To Come

    Lenten Scripture Reading: Luke 23

It's been something of a week. I thank God. By mid week it became Spring. We're moving on into the season. I'm hoping that some good weather will show up. It's cold.

Easter Sunday is coming. The Pancake and Easter eggs hunts next Saturday. I hope that it's warm. Last year it was rainy and cold. The Easter egg hunt was on the inside.

I'm looking forward for Holy Week! In the year that I was born, I was born on Holy Monday. I'll celebrate my birthday on Holy Monday too.

I hope all will continue to into the Lenten Season. It will end next Saturday. It's been a long journey for me. I think that I'm going to make it.

Easter Sunday is eight days earlier than last year. I've been on the journey since Last Easter. I've been counting down the days.

My journey will begin again on Easter till the next one. The journey is worth the time. I'm thankful for the seasons that come and go. Scared time and Kingdom time in and out we go.

May we continue on the Lenten Journey.
May we be transformed into Christ Likeness.
May God do a go work in us.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

    Scripture
I truly delight in God's commands, but it's pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge. I've tried everything and nothing helps I'm at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn't that the real question? The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does.

  • Spring? Or Winter?

    Lenten Scripture Reading: Luke 22

    Good Day to you!
I hope that you are having a good day.
If not the day isn't over yet.

According to the calendar, Spring arrived yesterday. Someone forgot to tell "Mr. Winter." We're still in the Winter season. Well, it appears to be. We may have some snow coming.

I'm staying warm. That's the smart thing to do. Oh, well. This weather can't spoil my joy. I'm still here. I wouldn't freeze up. Hope the power doesn't go out.

I'm looking forward to the warmer weather. In due time, this cold spell will die down. Then Winter have to leave. Spring can take over until the Fall season turns.

May we learn to do the best in the season that we're in.
May we grow in the things of  God.
May we spring for joy when the winter of our discontentment comes.
    Amen

    Thanks for reading.

  • Spring Time Eve: Last Day of Winter Before Spring 2013

    Lenten Scripture Reading: Luke 20

Thinking about Springtime. It's been a long Winter. But as I think about it, it wasn't as bad as I thought. We had worst Winter than this one.

It wasn't as cold as it should have been. We had about 5 or 6  very day weather that canceled school and actives for a few days each.  I don't think we got below zero temperature. The wind chill may have.

I'm seeing more and signs of Spring coming. The grass is turning greener still. The buds on the trees are bigger. People are wearing shorts and no coats.

Yap! The weather is getting warmer. The birds are flying every where. Life is coming back to the earth. Spring Fever had hit our area!

I'm needing put up my warmer clothing soon. But, Winter may find a way to come back. Snow is possible. But it won't say long. lol

I'm enjoying the last day of Winter. It's the changing of the season. It's like the turning of another page in life.

May we be ready for whatever weather comes our way. May the Lord protect us from harm.
May we have good memories of the season that we enter and leave. Amen.

    Good Bye Winter!

  • The Last Weekend Of Winter Before Spring Time

    Lenten Scripture Reading: Luke 19

The weekend went too fast for me. The temperature got up to 82 degrees on Friday. I did go to church. It was nice outside.

On Saturday, it was in the 40's.  I don't like the weather when it's hot one day and cold the next. It's not good for thought how have trouble adjusting to the temperature drop.

Sunday was great: I greeted the people. I saw a lot of new people and young children. I attended Sunday Worship. The message was great.

I'm feeling more and more in love with Jesus. What He does is amazing. It's through the stories in the Bible we can see things come to life. Hearing the stories on how Jesus related and interacted with people.

Jesus will have a meal with whosoever will. He will never turn anyone away. I thank God for communion. Thank God for His Church.

It's been an interesting weekend. I see some things changing. I'm being transformed. I'm on the journey with Jesus.

I'm moving on with the things at hand. Next week is Holy Week. I'm looking forward. I'm on my journey to my birthday too.

    May the Lord guide us.
May we have communion with the Lord.
May we remember that the Lord is with us on the journey we travel.
    Amen.

    Have A Great Week!
    Thanks for reading.

  • True Joys

Almighty God, you alone can bring into order the unruly wills and affections of sinners: Grant your people grace to love what you command and desire what you promise; that, among the swift and varied changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

  • Project: Family History Journey

     Lenten Scripture Reading: Luke 18

Yes, I'm making some progress on my family history journey. I came across more info on my father's father's father's side this week. I was surprised to come across it.

I'm thankful for public records. I didn't think to search for this relative. Something led me to search for him. And low and behold, something turned up.

Now, I have more questions. Where was his first wife and son? Why did the wife's mother raise her grandson? Did the couple get a divorce?

I can only think what could have happened. I haven't come across any relatives to say what happened. I believe that there are records. They aren't made public yet.

In due time things will  be make public. In due time. Better yet, I hope that people on my family tree will start searching for family history. I sure hope so.

I believe that we all have the missing link to what others are searching for. We think that we don't know anything. But we do. Even if it's a name, place and a year. That's a good start.

May the Lord guide us to share what we know about our family history. May we have a desire to what to know more about God and our history. May we be led by the Spirit and journey on the road with Jesus. Amen.

    Thanks for reading,
    Susan

  • Mid - Way In March

    Lenten Scripture Reading: Luke 17

Oh! What a beautiful day! The high today in the 70's. I have not complaints. Yesterday was in the high 60's.

It's been a good last week of Winter. It's not bad. It will get cold another. But that's normal. Spring time is coming.

I remind myself to...Keep on keeping on. Do what I know to do. Make the most of what I have. Try not to over do things.

I've been cutting back on some things. I'm been thinking about what matters. What should I be doing. I'm doing the things that I enjoy. Those things that are important.

I have to slow down. I think that I'm doing too much. I need to stop and smell the roses.  Then again. The roses might me to sneeze. lol

I'm enjoying my days. Life is a journey. We all need to come to realize that we can't do everything. Well, I have.... I got to learn how to say no more often to the things that drain me.

May we learn what's best for us as we are going through life. May we stop doing things that not working. May the Lord guide us into what we should do and what we should not keep doing. Amen.

Hope you enjoy the last Weekend of Winter.
    Peace be with you.

    Thanks for reading.

  • The World Watched On...

    Lenten Scripture Reading: Luke 16

The church has a new Pope. Pope Francis.  I like many were watching for the white smoke come from the chimney. And finally it came.

I was happy to see it. I said finally. It took about 13 days to select the Pope. I was happy that the church has a Pope.

I don't know that there are over 1.2 billion Catholics in the world. Wow. I'm a Christian; a follower of Christ.

In the days to come, we will learn more about Pope Francis. I don't know much about the Catholic world. They are Christian, believer in Christ.

I've been praying for the selection of the new Pope.

May we seek God with our whole heart.
May we not judge others about of their religious.
May God help us to follow Him and not the woes of the world.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.
