Moving Forward With God
He is like a father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence him. For he knows we are but dust, and that our days are few and brief, like grass, like flowers, blown by the wind and gone forever.
Psalm 103:13 - 15 TLBHappy 2nd Tuesday in Easter!
I've been reflecting over my life. Another year has come for me. I'm a half a century. It seems old, but it's not. Age is just a number we put upon ourselves and things we lable.
How old is old?
It's in our attitude.
Our mind set on what old is to us.
Old is whatever you believe.
I try not to see age in people. How can one imagine. How old is God? I see God as ageless. I'm thankful for who He is. I don't wonder about His age. He is the ancient of day and God of all creative who was before time exist.
I see age as beauty. Age is an art. It's how we create or produce things in our lives. It can be how we interact with others. O r by what we wear. Even so in how we communicate with to the world around us.
As I'm growing in age; the art of being who God is shaping me to become, I feel more aware of who God is. And who He is not. I'm thankful for His Holy Spirit who is guiding me into the truth. God is God. We are but dust.
I remember during Ash Wednesday, on Feb 13, 2013, we were invited to come up to the alter and receive an Ashen cross upon our foreheads. The Pastor, Brian Zahnd spoke the words, "Remember you are but dust, to the ground you will return." Indeed that is so.
We are just dust. We were born with a purpose. Then when our time comes, we will return to the dust. Yes, we will die some day. However, for those who will be blessed to see the Lord at His second coming will not taste death. What a glorious day that will be.
We will have to face what comes our way. Whether if it's dealing with life's issues or coming to the end of life to death, we have to face our Maker. We have a journey and a calling in our lives. We have a choose. Go with God? Or go our own way? We choose.
I'm moving on forward with God. I don't know what all is ahead for me. But I believe that God will be with me on the journey where I'm headed. I'm thankful for that.
May we wear our age to the glory of God.
May we not be so hook on things that doesn't concern us.
May we grow in the grace that the Lord blesses us with.
Amen.

Reflections On The Lenten Season 2013
Happy 1st Saturday in Easter Week!
We thank you, heavenly Father, that you have delivered us from the dominion of sin and death and brought us into the kingdom of your Son; and we pray that, as by his death he has recalled us to life, so by his love he may raise us to eternal joys; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Prayer via The Book Of Common Prayer: Saturday in Easter Week
I was thinking about the Lent Season. Lent started on Feb 13, 2012. It ended on March 30, 2013. It was a long journey for me.
On Ash Wednesday Feb 13, I attended a Ash Wednesday gathering in the Upper Room at WOLC. It was a 45 minute service. Praise and Worship... prayer.
Near the end of the gathering we were invited to come up to the alter. Pastor Brian Z. applied a ashen cross mark upon our forehead. He spoke the words. "You are but dust, to the ground you will return."
As each person come up, we moved to the next place to hear someone say "this is His body that was broken for you." Then we took the bread. Then we moved to the next place. Someone would say, "This is His blood that was shed for you."
We would go back to our seat and partake of communion. We worshipped until every one had an ashen cross on our foreheads and took communion. We ended praying the prayer for Ash Wednesday.
As the days went by we would enter into the Lent season. We had our daily scripture reading for each day. We were to fast as we went on our journey. Except for Sundays.
Sundays were set aside for celebrating. It was like a mini "Easter" Then on Monday we were to go back on fasting. 40days in all. The journey of 46 days to The Easter Celebration.
I did learn some things on the Lenten Journey. There were some things I let go of. There were some things I have not thought about. And some things that brought some clarity to my life.
I see by going through the Lenten season, some new thing came about. There were some things that had to die. While some things I had to go through.
In all, I think I'm stronger. I have a new mind set about some things. I have to get use to things that come. I have to grow in the process of the changes that come.
I see that this Lent season was a very special one at that. I'm turning another page on Monday. Another big O in the process in living life.
As I'm growing in age, I'm seeing things differently. There are thing that aren't the same. Things change. So do people. I'm having to move on with those changes.
May we see the good in the Lenten Season.
May we make the effort to do things in new ways.
May we seek the Lord during the season of changes in our lives.
Amen

The Season Continues
Happy 1st Friday in Easter Week!
Almighty Father, who gave your only Son to die for our sins and to rise for our justification: Give us grace so to put away the leaven of malice and wickedness, that we may always serve you in pureness of living and truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.Prayer via The Book Of Common Prayer
It's the first weekend of Easter! The Easter celebrating continues. Remember Easter is a season, not just one day on the calendar. Keep rejoicing!
I have been celebrating. The thought of Jesus being raised from the grave, how mind boggling. I believe Jesus was raised from the died.
I spoke with someone yesterday. They didn't know that we were still in Easter. I guess not many realize Easter is a season.
May the Holy Spirit bring revelation knowledge to us.
May we receive what the Spirit is trying to say to us.
May we be willing to heed to the Spirit of God.
Amen.
Thanks for reading.

Changes In The Seasons
Happy Wednesday In Easter Week!
O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our faith, That we may behold himin all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Prayer via The Book Of Common Prayer ~ Wednesday In Easter Week
I have been slowing down... It could be the changes in the seasons. Or could it be that I'm getting older? lol
I've been noticing that I'm behind on my journaling. I hope I can catch up. I need to think about what to journaling. I need some quiet time to think.
Meanwhile: Spring is on delay. Sort a! It's been cold here. I'm looking forward for warmer weather. That's not too warm as in Summer Time warmth.
The grass is much greener since the snow melted and the rain came last week. There are buds on the trees and brushes. The birds have be singing. Spring is here. Surely but slowly making its appearance in its fullness.
I'm hoping to see the garden in next month. I think this will be for 5th year. We didn't have a lot of rain last Spring Summer. I hope we get enough rain to water the land but not bring on flooding.
Yes, I'm looking forward for good weather. I don't spend time outside much. Just to go where I need to go.
Hope to continue to journal here on Xanga. I'm needing to take the time to think of what to share. Back in the days I had a lot of things to journal about. Wonder what happened over the years?
May creative ideas come to us in what to share.
May we not be so in a hurry to do things.
May we pace ourselves as we go about life.
AmenThanks for reading.

Still In The Easter Season
Happy Tuesday In Easter Week!
O God, who by the glorious resurrection on your Son Jesus Christ destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light; Grant that we, who have been raised with him, may abide in his presence and rejoice in the hope of eternal glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be dominion and praise for ever and ever. Amen
Prayer via The Book Of Common Prayer ~ Tuesday in Easter Week
I'm getting back on track. It was a long Lent season to me. I'm glad that it's all over. The journey was 46 days from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday. That's a long time.
I tried to keep the fast that I plan on doing. I think I messed up along the way. I repented and moved on. That was all I could do.
Lent was different for me this time around. It was lots of different for my. I see that it was worth the journey. Now, I'm in the after flow of what came out of the Lenten Season.
I continue on my journey in life. I'm doing some things in a new way. There were some things that use to bother my thinking. But now, I seem not to be bothered by that.
I focus on other things. I look for helpful matters along the journey. I want to tend to let go of those things that aren't as important to me.
I hope that you continue into the Easter Season.
May this journey open up the newness of what's coming to be.
May we watch and pray.
May we be led by they Holy Spirit.
AmenThanks for reading.
