I hope all is doing well. It's been cold here. I hope the Spring weather will come back very soon. I saw some flooding in town. We're getting our rain.

    Peace be with you.

    1 Corinthians 16:23 TLB

It's been 10 days since my birthday. I'm still in my celebration month. How much more can I celebrate? Well, I have to see. lol

I'm in my 'year of jubilee.' I'm in my 'golden years.' There are some who may call it 'middle age.' That's where I'm at. But, I'm not over the hill. I'm not even close to that hill.

I'm living life. I'm moving on into the changes that come with life. I'm keeping on keeping on. I'm going to finish the race set before me.

I got my eyes on Jesus.
For the Lord is with me on this journey.
    Thank You, Lord!

  • In Remission

Happy 3rd Tuesday in Easter 2013!

I was thinking about my bout with lupus. It came upon me in 2001. But I think that I had it long before then. The doctors couldn't pin point it until Summer of 2001.

It was a six month process. I  had to take six chemo treatments once a month and medicine.. By Jan of 2002 I was in remission from lupus. I was on the road to recovery. I felt much better as the months went by.

Through the years something with wrong. By Spring of 2004 I was becoming ill again. I went through procedures... I found out that the lupus returned. I was mad. This time the lupus felt worst. I went through the process of chemo and medicine.

It wasn't until Sept/ Oct 2004, when I was in remission from lupus for the second time. I was told by doctors that the lupus could return. And I need to have check up and for the signs of lupus.

Well, it's been about 9 years since I took my last chemo treatment for lupus. I'm in remission. There have been other issues link to lupus that have attacked my body.

In all I thank God for bringing me through. It was a tough battle; through the years with lupus and the treatment etc. I felt and feel much better.

I'm thankful for God for getting me through issues in my life. I don't know if this lupus will be reactive. I don't worry about that. I'll I try not to.

I can only do what I can. I have to watch what I do. And not to overdo things. I have to learn to know my limits.
I have to keep in tune with what's going....

    Here's website about lupus.

  • A Week At It

Happy 3rd Monday in Easter 2013!

It's been a week for me at being a half century. My attitude has changed somewhat. I don't do some of the things that I think that I should. I'm not as interested in them. I don't know why.

I have my mind occupied on other things. I'm noticing changes in people as well. The season of Spring has brought change to us. Perhaps.

It appears that I'm in a new season of life. I'm moving with the flow of things. I want have a new look. Or something in doing things in a new way. I seem to be questioning things a lot more.

Whatever the case my be, I'm moving on. Life is a journey.
May we live life to the fullest.
    Amen!

    Thanks for reading.

Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For you have been my refuge.

    Psalm 61:103 NIV

  • In The Breaking Of Bread

Happy 3rd Sunday in Easter 2013!

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre... And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And.. behold, two men stood by them in shining garments; And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen.

    Luke 24: 1- 6 KJV

O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our faith, that we may behold him in all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

  • Get In Step With God

God does not respond to what we do; we respond to what God does. We've finally figured it out. Our lives get in step with God and all others by letting him set the pace, not by proudly or anxiously trying to urn the parade.
