Month: May 2013

  • Project Garden 2013

I was looking at the garden on Tuesday. The plants were planted on Monday. There are tomatoes, peppers, onions and cucumbers. I hope that the weather is better than it was last year. We lack rain.

It takes a lot to keep up a garden. The weather has to cooperate. The weeds need to be taken out. It's a must to do.

I'm looking forward to the harvest. Homegrown veggie. I don't like store bought tomatoes. Homegrown are much better. I can't wait. July is coming.

May we who have gardens watch over them.
May we have a good harvest.
May we not grow weary of the weeds and weather on this Summer.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

The 6th Saturday in Easter 2013

    Scripture
Lord, there is not one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, O Lord our God, for we relay on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. O Lord, you are our God; do not let man prevail against you.

    2 Chronicles 14:11 NIV

  • The Weekend: And Changes

It's been a long week. Finally the end is near. I don't know about the weekends. It's has a different atmosphere then the other days.

I've been noticing that my days are changes. Days of the week and even the weekends have been changing for me. I'm adjusting to the changes.

I'm making the most of what's coming. The season has been changing. The time to move on with what's coming has to line up. I'm moving with the flow of things.

I have to get use to things. It's like now I have move to do on the weekends.  I recall I had less to do. I don't know what happened.

I'll make some adjustments. Or I'll have to rearrange some things. I need some space. I'll wear myself out.

May we have balance in life.
May the Lord guide us into the way that we should go.
May we adjust to the changes that come in our lives.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

  • What To Journal About?

I'm needing to get with the program. I'm out track again. Or I'm I doing too much of other things? I think it's both.

I have been noticing that I'm slacking off on journaling. I'm having to catch up. I thought I wrote my Tuesday blog.  I look and it wasn't there.

So, I'm thinking about what to journal about? Well, I need to get with the program. I see that I'm not writing as much. But I have much to do.

I do like to journal. I have time to do it. I need to just do it. I need balance. I notice that I don't journal when I'm tried. I fall asleep.

I'm needing to rest. I have been falling asleep when I'm on my computer. I'm not here long. But, it's funny. I'm falling asleep. lol.

I'm get back in the swing of things. In due time, I'm make my way back on track. I'm still here. I don't want to give up on journaling.

May the Lord grant us wisdom on what to journal about.
May we have balance in our lives.
    Amen.

    Thanks for reading.

  • Say What?

It's over! It was a long weekend. I had another cousin was born into the family. I'm adding names to the family tree.

The weather is somewhat getting warmer. We're in a heat wave. It's been in the 40's to 50's It's going to warm up today.

Spring is here. But not. We're getting our rain. The trees are getting their leaves. The beauty of the land is coming to life.

I heard the news on facebook, that two cousins passed away. One was about 66 and the other one was 25. The 25 year old was killed in an accident by a drunk hit and run driver.

I've been praying for the both family. Life is short. We don't know when our time will come. May we be ready when our time comes.

I believe that my two cousin called upon the Lord while they were alive on the earth. Even though I have never met them, I believe that we will met some day along with the others who have fall asleep and went to be with the Jesus.

I'm looking forward to this week. I hope that your week started out on the right foot. If not things can change. I hope you enjoy your Monday.

May we do the best with what we have.
    Thanks for reading.
    Peace,

  • Project: Projects Projects

I like doing project. Well the ones that I like. Projects can last a long time. It depends on who big the projects are.

I think all my projects are long term. I don't know when I will finish what I've started. I know that searching for family history is a life time project. Journaling is a lifetime one as well.

I know that I can end a project at any time. I can loose interest and the project is on the shelf or is over and done with. I've have some projects like that.

I loose interest in what I do. I feel that things weren't going any where. So I let up and move on to something else.

Project can be fun. It's how we think what we think. It's all in our attitude. Without the zeal to do, we can't get things done as we want to.

May we continue in the love the drives us to do projects.
May we see that projects are good for us.
May we at least complete what we finish.
May we not feel guilty in not finishing our projects.
    Amen

    Thanks for reading.

  • Moving On In May

It's the first weekend in May. It's cold wet and snowy. Does this mean that Summer is just around the corner? I'm hoping that the the weather will sprung back into Spring. Yes, I've been awaiting the warmth of what Spring about us.

I've been looking forward to the Month of May. Things are coming to an end of the season. The school sessions end, there are school graduations. It's the introduction to Summertime. (While once Winter decides to leave. LoL.)

May is also the month of new beginnings. The closure of April has new off set for the month of May. I'm seeing new beginnings and some surprises.

It's been a long cold season. The weather has been weird and some say crazy. I try to enjoy the moments that am in... I enjoy the sunshine and the warmth of each day. But I have to set my attitude when it's cold and gloomy.

I did enjoy the snow day yesterday. I felt the amazement of seeing the snow fall. It was looked like cotton balls at first. Then it looked like a bunch of feather. It was like a pillow fight. It was like I was in another place.

It was unique in the seeing. It was beautiful. Even though the snow seem out of place, It made me think. What in the world? Snow in the month of May.

May we enjoy the season that we are in no matter how weird or crazy it may be. May we see the beauty of God's creation. Amen.

    Thanks for reading.
I'm enjoying the 5th Friday in Easter!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

  • Judge And You Shall Be Judged

I wonder why we judge others. Do we think that we are better than they are? Or are we jealous? Or prideful and arrogant about what others do?

I was reading something some one posted on the internet. I can't understand why Christian speak poorly of other Christian. We, as Christians should do that. But we do.

I think God doesn't approve of us speaking down other people, especially Christian. We are to be loving and kind to one another. Why do we lack that respect on one another?

We can see things written on the internet or see on TV how Christians do things. We can criticize what others do or say. But what's the point in going over board?

We should pray about our disagreements. We should broadcast it to the world. Can we disagress with making a issue out of it?

What's the point on getting bent out of shape because what we believe or what we do? We have our own opinion about things. We shouldn't get upset over what others don't agree with us on.

I hope that the Holy Spirit will lead us to say the things that are on our hearts in a loving way. We will have our disagreements. But we shouldn't speak low of people.

We should pray. We should ask God open our eyes to not to judge others in ways that won't bring glory to His name. We should take our issues before God.

May the Lord forgive us when we judge other out of context.
May the Lord show us what we should do when criticized.
May we speak words of goodness out of love toward one another.
May we not go over the limit in judging people.
    Amen!

    Thanks for reading.
Happy 5th Thursday in Easter 2013!

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgements, and his ways past finding out! For who hath known the Mind of the Lord? Or who the Mind of the Lord? Or who hath been his Counselor?
